For him, violence is the solution to every problem, and he never misses an opportunity to provoke both his opponents and his own gang mates. This explosive nature led him to clash with Swan, openly challenging him for the leadership role. Despite this, he is an exceptional fighter and one of the most feared members of the gang.
role in the story

During the journey back to Coney Island, Ajax proves to be a valuable asset in the fighting, facing rival gangs fearlessly. However, his rebellious character and his tendency to underestimate danger lead him to ruin. In one of the film's most memorable scenes, Ajax stops in a park, attracted by a mysterious woman. Convinced that he can dominate her as he has done with others, he tries to force her, but falls into a trap: the woman is actually an undercover policewoman, who handcuffs him and arrests him. His cautious attitude clashes with the impulsiveness of some of his companions, but in several situations this caution proves useful. His sensitivity makes him one of the most human characters of the gang. While some Warriors seem to enjoy violence or challenge, Rembrant is often uncomfortable in dangerous situations, highlighting that not all gang members need to be ruthless or prone to fighting.
role in the story

Although Rembrant is not an expert fighter, he proves to be a great member of the gang. One of the key moments in which he is the protagonist is the meeting with the Lizzies. Rembrant is the first to understand that there is something strange in their intentions; in fact, he will be the one to understand that the Lizzies want to eliminate the Warriors. He manages to escape but during the fight he is wounded in the arm. During the fight against the Punks in the subway, Rembrant, not being one of the strongest warriors, still manages to knock the leader of the Punks to the ground by spraying paint in his face and knocking him down with a devastating punch to the face. In the end, he is one of the members who manages to return to Coney.
