During an interview on The Howard Stern Show, a member of the Hells Angels revealed that The Warriors vest logo was inspired by a photo of a motorcycle built in a California prison by an incarcerated Hells Angel.

The image was published in a motorcycle magazine and apparently led to several fights, as the Hells Angels fiercely protect their logos. To avoid issues, all future versions of the logo were altered, replacing the winged skull with a flaming snake.

This new logo is the only one authorized to appear on any merchandise, including t-shirts, comics, video games, and replica vests. Initially, in the beta version of the video game, the logo was slightly different—it still featured the snake but with feathers, resembling the one from the film.

In fact, if you look closely at the first trailer of the game, during the big meeting scene, you can see that Snow back and the Warriors’ vest originally had the movie logo. However, during development, it was changed to avoid any legal issues.
